The Full Paco Pad is a 72" x 24" x 2" self-inflating sleeping pad built for river runners who demand comfort and durability. After one night on a Full Paco Pad, it's hard to imagine using anything else on the river. Many customers keep them at home as spare bedding because they're that comfortable.
Self-Inflating Simplicity
Each Paco Pad features a water-tight air valve that keeps air out when rolled up. When it's time for bed, simply pop the buckles to release the straps and open the valve—the pad inflates itself. It needs no extra air to work, and a small puncture from a cactus needle or a valve left open won't ruin your night. The foam does the work, not the air.
Built to Last Trip After Trip
The 2-inch high-density firm foam is extra dense and engineered to be rolled up hundreds of times without breaking down. The firmness ensures your hips and shoulders stay off the ground while providing excellent insulation against cold surfaces. With an R-value of 3.42 per inch, you'll stay warm even on frozen sand or rocky terrain.
More Than Just Sleep
Paco Pads provide extra safety on rafts by padding hard spots where passengers may hit or get pinched during rapids. They insulate coolers to keep ice longer and serve as premium lounging platforms on top of gear boxes. Most boaters leave their pads unrolled on the boat all day for comfortable seating during long floats.

A little history shared by Jack's Welding - located in Aztec, New Mexico & our friends @4CornersRiversports. + drone footage of the upper Animas near Durango, CO
A little bit of river history. Western Rivers Expeditions went down to Mexico and boated the Sumidero Canyon in 1964 before there were dams on it. Of course, they did it with 1964 state of the art equipment, that was big heavy and durable. The rapids are brutal, the boaters got beat up. There is footage of Mayan ruins at Bonampok in Chiapas, the Usamacinta River Puerto Vallarta in 1964 before the airport or good roads, and a couple of plane crashes. All with the "American Sportsman" video twist. You will really enjoy it. Western Rivers is a great customer of ours, and we are very happy that they posted this on You tube.
