The factory hoses were formed hoses that were 1\/2\" at the \"tee\" into the main heater hoses and widened to 5\/8\" at the heater core. The reason for this reduction in hose size is to eliminate any impact on the flow to the front heater. If it were the same size, it could take nearly the full flow of the heater system and bypass the front heater, greatly reducing its efficiency. In fact, some of the factory hoses we have pulled off have contained a bushing to further limit the flow to the rear heater for this same reason.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eSince both the reduction \"tee\" \u003cem\u003eand\u003c\/em\u003e the formed hoses are both no longer available, we just used standard 5\/8\" \"tees\" at the junction and straight 5\/8\" heater hose like the rest of the system. We include a plastic flow reduction bushing that gets installed in the end of one of the hoses to keep the system functioning properly.
